| How Hospice is paid for | ||||
| Hospice is a benefit of Medicare, Medicaid and many insurance plans. If a person does not have coverage through Medicare, Medicaid or a private insurance company, Hospice will work with the person and their family to ensure services can be provided. Families should check with their insurance provider, or call Hospice and we will be happy to assist you in determining coverage. | ||||
| Hospice is provided regardless of one's ability to pay. It is important to know that no person in the counties we serve who needs care is turned away from Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado. | ||||
| The philanthropy of the communities we serve makes comprehensive hospice care possible. Community support pays for hospice staff when insurance coverage is not available. It also covers expensive treatments and medications, bereavement care and the support of grieving children, all due in part to our neighbors' generosity. | ||||
