Dr. Amy Mohler is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Hospice & Palliative Medicine; she joined the Hospice staff in 2002. In her current role of Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, she will have overall administrative responsibility for the medical component of the Hospice patient care program, and will be accountable for quality, consistency, and accessibility of hospice and palliative care services across all levels of care and all regions.

Judith Gerharter, MD

 

 

Dr. Judith Gerharter is board certified in Radiology and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. She joined Hospice in 2007, focusing on palliative medicine. Prior to joining Hospice, Dr. Judith was the Director of Palliative Care of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, CO and also served as a consultant to Health One Hospitals for palliative care.

Scott Rollins, MD

Dr. Rollins, Hospice Medical Director in the Plateau Valley, hails from the Ozark Mountains of southern Missouri. He attended Drury University and completed medical school at Kansas University Medical Center. Dr. Rollins wanted to settle in this part of the country, so he came to Grand Junction for his residency training in family practice. Having grown up in rural town much like Collbran, Dr. Rollins appreciates having "a lifestyle that allows him to simply spend time with his family and nature."

Charles Roy, MD

Charlie Roy, MD, Medical Director, began working at Hospice in 1997 while also maintaining a private practice in urology.  In 2003, Dr. Roy closed his private practice in Urology but continues to practice urology part-time at the Grand Junction VA Medical Center.  Dr. Roy is a certified trainer in the Project to Educate Physicians on End-of-Life Care (EPEC). Dr. Roy is also certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ABHPM). 

Dr. Roy received 25-year medical staff membership recognition from St. Mary's Hospital and Community Hospital.  He continues to serve as Chairman of the Quality Council at St. Mary's and is a member of the Quality Board Committee and Ethics Committee.  In 2007, Dr. Roy received 10-year recognition as an employee of Hospice.

Scott Rich, MD

 

 

 
Scott Rich, MD, joined the Delta County Hospice team as Medical Director in January 2004.

Dr. Rich moved to Colorado in November 2003 to join an internal medicine practice in Delta. He moved to Colorado to be in a community that provides open space and outdoor recreation; the community's need for a physician in Delta County was also a draw.

Dr. Rich completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He also holds a Masters of Public Health with a focus on healthcare economics from Harvard University and completed a Health Services Research Fellowship at Dartmouth Medical School. His most recent position was assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.

Erica Woodyard, MD

Dr. Woodyard, Hospice Medical Director in the Plateau Valley, is originally from Hershey, PA. She attended college in Lawrence, KS, graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and completed her medical residency program at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction in 1994. She moved to Collbran shortly thereafter to practice at the Plateau Valley Medical Clinic.
