Hold a hand. Share a laugh. Plan a gala. Use a computer. Answer a phone. Assist with a mailing. Ring up a sale. Listen to cherished memories. Give a hug. Touch a heart. Listen to a child's laughter.

Change a life....maybe your own....be a Hospice volunteer
Volunteers are a very special part of the Hospice team. More than 1,035 Hospice volunteers gave 75,777 hours of their time in 2009...that's a value of $1.53 million!  There are numerous opportunities for volunteers to share their time, knowledge and talents.

Volunteer opportunities are as individual as you are, and we welcome volunteers from all walks of life.  Volunteer training and opportunities are available in patient & family support, bereavement and spiritual care, administrative, fundraising services/projects, Child-Teen Grief Programs, Heirlooms for Hospice resale shops, Cups Coffee House, Spoons bistro & bakery, Tanglewood Garden Society, Professional services and Teen Volunteer Program.
There are so many ways you can make a difference in the life of another.  Whether it's working with patients and families or behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly, we are sure that no matter which area you choose, you will enjoy being a part of our family!
"I like the feeling of making a real contribution to the human experience. Hospice has shown me how dignity, compassion and love complete a journey through this life on earth - a journey that includes family and friends."

John Dempsey, Patient Support Volunteer
