Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado is dedicated to supporting and caring for those with serious illness and their families. We offer our services to any person regardless of age, type of disease, or the ability to pay. We rely on charitable donations to carry out our work and to develop new programs.

Every day a very dedicated team of over 260 paid staff, nearly 1,000 volunteers, and an entire community of supporting partners help carry out the important mission of Hospice and Palliative Care. Our organization has created a number of unique programs in order to meet the needs articulated by the communities we serve.

Generous donations made the following Hospice services possible in 2009:

• 1,460 hospice patients were cared for in 2009

• 313 transitions patients received nursing visits and consults

• 4,838 individuals received bereavement services

• 575 children and teens received grief support

• 271 patients and families received $378,308 in unreimbursed care

• 270 individuals received support through community grief groups

• 1035 active volunteers provided 75,776 hours of service throughout the organization
